My Dr tried many drugs which we found out I was allergic to. Then after being off all meds for about 7 months she suggested Enbrel. Being drug sensitive I had to start off slowly, but my pain was gone in 5 days after starting it. This is a very expensive med and I do not know how long I can afford it, even with insurance . But it worked. It is to bad the drug companies can’t feel our pain. They really need to come up with better, more affordable meds for people with RA.

I have a hard time mostly every day, and just smile at my friends and say tomorrow will be better, you and I know that never is the case, Tonight and every night I ‘ll continue to pray they find a cure for all of us, I wan’t to wake up the super hero I once was again!!! It never hurts to dream right?

Thanks for posting your blog. I love it! I am in my fifth year too with this arthritis monster. I am taking Remicade. MTX, and predinsone. I hang out at arthritis.org/RA Connect. Hope to see you posting there too. Good luck RA Guy with your adventures in arthritisland!

Clare – I have had pronounced RA for a little under five years. Yes, it can be quite challenging at times. I am currently undergoing a strong progression at the moment and hope that my new treatment plan helps bring it under more control.
