I am an active member in a Yahoo! group for RA and I keep in touch with fellow members on networking sites like myspace and facebook.
My rheumatologist never gave me any ideas about joining online groups. I found them on my own and it has helped tremendously. I think it would be great if rheumatologists gave their patients online support contact information. Everyone knows exactly what you are going through and are very informative if you have any questions.
