I loved that game too – still like playing it with the young cousins.

And even when you hit one of the big health slides – which I did in August of ’07 – you can find equalibrium, and start rolling the dice and moving forward again.

My favorite game was the original Risk. Oh how I adored (and still love) that game. The plotting and planning, the carefully managed campaigns…I suppose there’s a metaphor there, too, eh? If you start with a small goal like Australia, you can get boxed in and trapped there, if you start with a big goal like Asia you can burn yourself out of the game, but if you make plans and steady advances in the medium risk continents, you can take over the world.

We will reach the end,but it may take a while.
My philosophy is to live while I can, and do what I can, even tho I know the pain will be there or worse. I have had some good adventures due to my friend prednisone. Taken before a trip, I have climbed a Mayan temple in Mexico, hiked thru a lava field in Hawaii, and walked on a glacier in Alaska (Thank God that cruise ship had a huge thermotherpy.thallasotherapy pool..I was frozen when we got back. This Florida girl freezes easily.)
With the meds in the clinical trial working so well right now, I find I have to get moving more, because I want to do more.I am so out of shape, it takes much more effort)
I always enjoy your posts, RAGuy…keep them coming!

Actually I quite fancy a go on a “slide” as we call them in the UK – its been years – wonder if people would laugh/think me mad as I propped my crutches against the steps??
