A while ago, I decided to abandon gluten. I did it for six months. Actually, blood tests showed I wasn’t intolerant after all. If you take the blood test, eat plenty of bread beforehand, because otherwise you won’t have any detectable transglutaminase antibodies. So, you could present as negative even if you are a coeliac.

They’re putting me on methotrexate and testing me for Lupus next week. Petrified.
