All cokes are cokes, sprites are cokes, etc. However, Dr.Pepper will always be Dr.Pepper.

I’ve considered that large bottle of Ibuprofen. The thoughts centered on just wanting to make the pain go away. I discovered later that there was more than one type of pain which was talking, and Ibuprofen wouldn’t have touched the underlying pain.

Glad you are here with us.

I have been writing a great deal about my time with depression thinking it might just help someone else, before I started my blog. I think what I ended up pouring out was way too long to post. What I felt was unavailable to me from my GP or specialists was real help when I needed it. It is also now my opinion having been THERE that the best thing we can do for ourselves and for others in the same position is talk and share… even when telling your loved ones those thoughts you are ashamed of feels like you are distressing them, remember it is the best way to keep yourself safe. Borrow their hope until you can feel your own again. That’s how I got through.

Pain is the greatest stressor of all when it is constant. It clouds every part of your mind. I admire your strength of mind & spirit!!

It certainly bought home how this disease doesn’t just affect you physically. It also shows that you are not alone in having these thoughts .. I remember being just 12 when my meds first ‘spoke to me’.. its a scary moment… but in a way its also a good thing because it makes you realise that not only do you need to look after yourself physically, but also mentally..

We all have our down days, the duvet days as I call them… but then there are days when the pain has got so bad, or you’ve come up against so many hurdles that you’re just too tired to climb over and part of you wonders…. what if…..

Cognitive therapy is not for everyone but I find it so beneficial… Music also has an amazing effect… The sad songs for when you want to have a good cry or the cheesy ones for when you want to shake the bad mood out of you..

Thank you again for sharing RA Guy…To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world.

I think it is important for people to read this. It shows what pain can do to a person mentally.
