Yours is an excellent RA blog, Guy. You've found so much helpful -- and yes, FUN -- information and made it all so easy to access. And your posts are invariably kind, thought-provoking, humorous and honest.

Let me return the favor just a little: I've been taking Arava for 13 months now. For the first 10 months I lost a lot of hair, too (a rather upsetting phenomenon for a woman!). But then it stopped, and now my hair seems to be thickening up again and becoming less brittle. Here's hoping the same happens for you.

Keep up the great blogging. You're absolutely an inspiration to those of us who also fight RA and other autoimmune diseases. Thank you!

It has been amazing ride, hasn't it? Your blog is inspirational. I didn't blog much about my RA in the beginning, and I only started blogging about my RA after I started following your blog. Thanks for pushing towards awareness. It is the single most important thing that we can do change the criteria for diagnosis, research better treatment, and hopefully, lead to a cure. What I learned in my journey, it takes a lot of work to live in chronic pain. I do it everyday, being a mother, working fulltime, working on my masters, etc. A superhero can only do it.

Note to self: Stay away from Arava.

hey lifting a brush is very important! plus...bald guys are sexy! bald women...not so much....but we do have some great wigs to choose from ;) I haven't experienced hair loss with methotrexate....hopefully that wont happen.

I've read on your blog in the past about your problems with gluten. Have you read how they are doing studies to show the connection between the immune response from gluten and RA? I have been gluten free for a week and I feel much better....still not great but its a start. There is a lot of interesting info online about it...
