Like sending my husband to the grocery store for some particular items (that he never seems to be able to find)–it’s so convenient for him to use his cell phone to get clearer, more details for me so he can come home with the correct items! Not to say anything about when I’m traveling alone and can communicate with my family if my flights are delayed. Once I traveled without a cell phone–as recent as a couple of years–I got stranded in the Dallas airport (traveling to San Francisco) and my whole day was a nightmare (with my walking being challenged due to my disability)!! And I won’t even go into how much I’d miss my internet service if that was not in place! How did we ever manage without these modern conveniences??!!

It’s sort of unsettling how totally isolated we feel without the Internet. I have a cell phone, but I’ve never liked talking on the phone much, so I don’t use it a lot. Still, I no longer have a land-line phone and feel strange if I forget my cell at home when I’m out. I also don’t watch much TV, but I do watch news segments and clips online. When the ISP service goes, I’m in the doldrums!

When my great aunt passed away a few years ago, I took my college aged kids to help me clean out my inherited house (which I had not been in since the 60′s) They could not figure out how the rotary phone worked!
Now your computer stops and you feel so unconnected..literally.

My internet service, in addition to being my connection to the web, it also powers my Vonage phone from the states and my Slingbox television stream from the states, both of which I use multiple times on any given day!
