And then weather can still go and mess that up. But keep working on it. Evening is often the best for me- I am fortunate that I work from home and can get a lot done during the evening when I feel my best. Thanks for putting the 50:50 day into perspective! People without RA just can't realize how much we appreciate the time that we feel at our best. Morning is often a bad time for RA- stiffness and feeling exhausted despite a long sleep. Currently at home with mum in the country and I got her to read your post as you explain it better than I could. Mum was there when I was diagnosed at 13 yo, which was 17 years a go however I have never been able to explain how I am feeling. So thank you for doing it for me. Yesterday I was having a great day up until just after lunch. I got so tired, I ached, could not make any decisions and mum relaised I just needed a nap. Once I had that nap I felt so much better - I was able to function. I was able to wash the car - it took me a while to do but I was able to do it in the cool of the evening. But if I had not had that nap I would not have been able to it. This is just another example of how fustrating RA is. Hi RA Guy,

Dealing with 50:50 is OK and actually feels like a normal life. REALLY don't care for the 100:1 times or even the 80:20. However, your are right, it does keep life from getting boring! Here's to mostly 50:50 and better days for 2010. Thanks RA guy! Another great post! Dealing with 50:50 is OK and actually feels like a normal life. I don't know often how I've written that, said that, or thought it. Planning, Planning, Planning - really that is you can do when it comes to the unpredictability of RA flares. I like how you add to optimism even when the going (RA) gets tough. You rock RA guy! “Sometimes these ups and downs take place over the course of weeks and days, and at other times they take place over the course of hours and minutes.” I don’t know often how I’ve written that, said that, or thought it.
