You can work you just dont want too. You can work some of the time why cant you work all year round. I came into this marriage thinking you would be my equal. 2 hip surgeries 2 neck surgeries broken foot and still doesnt think I am that bad. Go figure

They think, everyone is tired, just deal with it. But they don’t understand the level of tired and never will. My immediate family is very helpful and understanding. They are the ones who see the pain and the way my hands and feet get during a flare.
Some people are just more compassionate than others. Luckily, my blood work was and still is all over the place, so I’ve not had to deal with the “it’s all in your head” issue from doctors and such.

Because you cant see my RA people think there is nothing wrong with me and i just dont wanna work. I get the im to young to have RA alot.
Its very rare to see an Arthritis ad on tv in australia, we need more exposure so people know it affects people of all ages, shapes & sizes and races.

Now after having a diagnosis for 7 years, I still struggle with my co-workers and bosses to get them to understand what my diagnosis is. Lately, I find myself only confiding in 3 of my friends at work, because the others just don’t get it.2 of the 3 have RA and one has PA.
The really sad part…all of the other 80 co-workers are registered nurses.

They look at you like you’re faking to stay home for the day.
