Bubble wrap from head to toe. The only true thing that will protect you. And it also makes lovely popping sounds upon impact. A tried and true tested practice and one I intend to further by financially investing in said company.

Say a prayer for those in service today and have a wonderful Memorial Day.

Yesterday my ankle was hurting, and as I came in to the kitchen from the garage door, I hit the threshold with my foot and whammed my right wrist into the top of my wrought iron kitchen chairs. I have bruises everywhere from little mishaps, don’t quite fall but so far have caught myself breaking my fall on furniture or walls. Funny thing is, I don’t seem to injure myself when I take pain meds.
I did fail step #3. In 2006 I took my sons (who were 22 and 24) to California for our first trip to Disneyland. I was feeling pretty good back then, so when we went to California adventure I decided to be a smart aleck and go down the tube slide in the kiddie playground since it was empty…one of the boys decided to film it. Needles to say there is a rather unflattering video of me landing on my backside that somehow gets to be shown to all family and visitors. I was laughing so hard I could not get up, and when I finally got myself together to get up, I couldn’t as the landing spot was cushioned to protect the little ones! At least my backside was well protected by that and my natural fluffy bottom and I did not get hurt!
