Businesses tend to milk us for whatever they can with any justification they can and unfortunately this is why we need laws now to govern healthcare. If one could trust the typical supply vs. demand things would work but things are too influenced by politics, money (lobbyist) and justification for ROI – return on investment. And the article is discouraging to say the least for older sick workers. I have no doubt that employers are trying to screen us/them out due to age and sickness. And I can’t really blame them as we would be a higher insurance premium for them. I for one was hoping we would have gotten a government plan thrown in the mix. That is the ONLY time prices drop as the government can negotiate a huge discount due to the masses it would represent. Truly a sad state of affairs here in the states and I don’t see an end in site for these problems either.
