I agree with everyone else who has written in. I also wonder: doesn’t the US government have bigger problems to worry about than 16 pot shops in CA? Let’s try fixing the health care industry, getting people jobs, making sure folks have affordable health insurance, and people aren’t losing their homes, just for a start. Ditto, ditto and ditto. I simply don’t understand why the federal government won’t change the laws regarding marijuana. It’s far less dangerous to individuals and society than alcohol, which has long been legal. I know I’m not the only political progressive out there who hoped our present president would address this issue for the better once and for all. What a disappointment and a shame.

Sad indeed, that a safe medicine that works well, is less sedating and has fewer side effects than most pain medicines and other drugs is illegal. A shame and a shock.

I so agree with you! I lived in Calif. for years and never pursued the use of the “legal” stuff but do know of several people who were being treated for cancer that found it to be the only thing that actually helped them. Sad.
