You are right that flares allow us to learn about our bodies, how to cope and what works and what doesn’t. And you are right on point with the disconnect idea. We have a tendency to want to hide when the pain arises to want to hide from the rest of the world. Also, as you mentioned, we are disconnected from ourselves. How funny that we RA’ers understand each other. :-) Strength triumphs defeat and fear always!
