My son will be experiencing New York for the first time, and it’s my goal to do exactly as you describe, including the High Line! Walking the city is our all-time favorite activity when we’re there, so with my new rollator, I’m hoping to take full advantage and share it with our little guy. That is, if we can pull him away from the cake tasting!

Thanks for the additional inspiration…so glad you had a great trip! :)

Don’t think for a moment that we don’t know what that takes – and admire you for it!

You bring hope and compassion every time I read one of your stories. I have been to NYC just once and we were with friends who wanted to cram all the sites they could into the short less than 24 hours we had there. It was beautiful and memorable in Dec both for the sites we saw and how my feet ached trying to keep up with the able bodied and before I admitted to others how much pain I was really in. I don’t think I hid it well from my best friend or husband. Thanks for sharing.

These kinds of posts really help. To know that somebody who seems to be farther along with the disease than I am, and is getting around like you are right now gives me hope.

I helped my oldest son change a tire on his car yesterday, and I knew I would pay for it. Today I can barely walk and one arm is all but useless. My wife and daughter are out of town, and my youngest son doesn’t understand why I can’t go play catch with him, so I am feeling a little down. Reading the positive messages help.
