More often than not, we do not listen to our bodies this is why we get unwanted illnesses which could be prevented by proper observance of rest.

I had to learn that myself. I have had RA for 38 years now, and I am 58. I have had things in my life that are worse than having RA, but always feeling exhausted and in pain really sucks. Something I learned *after* listening to my body is to RE-prioritize every day. For example— I generally only have about 5 hours worth of energy per day. I need to think about all the things I had hoped to accomplish, listen to my body, and then decide what is the most important thing I need to do. Vacuum? Nah! Run errands? Double NAH!! Assemble “care” pkg for my son? Important AND doable. Taking it to the post office will have to wait for another day.
Hang in there!
Namaste, Nina

Good health to you.

Sometimes it seems so simple, sometimes it is so hard. How was your experience working with the hospital for special surgery? Did they help you? I am off of prednisone since October of 2012. I am happy to be off of it. I would go back on it if needed. I hope if you come to NY again, I would be able to meet you!

I believe this is a most helpful path for those with chronic pain. Please know that although many (including me) admire your path, we also welcome hearing about all your moments, even those of doubt.
