Hello everyone! I was wondering if I am a rare case or are there others out there like me? I was diagnosed in July 2008 and have had so many medications and have gone through two of the self injections and have just had my third infusion of Orencia and nothing seems to be working for me! Are there others out there like… me? Why isn’t anything working? I am in so much pain and I know I am getting worse! I had to leave my job in December because it was just to much for me! Please someone just let me know that I am not imagining this pain. I feel alone!

I have had RA for about 10 years and would like to hear from others who also have it. I have a “new ” hip and 2 “new” shoulders. I would like to communicate with others who have RA. I am 61, married, 3 children, 7 grands and 1 on the way.

Although not confirmed, my wife has RA. She will receive that confirmation upon visiting the rheumatologist in December. I’ve subscribed to this blog so I both educate myself and try to understand this life-trial my wife will be entering. Is there any input on how a spouse can help?

Thanks for your question, and welcome to Rheumatoid Arthritis Guy! Let me just say that you’ve already taken a first big step, which is to start looking for RA information on websites and on blogs. This counts for a lot.
