I started on Enbrel (rather unexpectedly) on December 9, 2009. I had been taking Simponi, which I loved, it just didn’t last more than a week. (See Simponi Synopsis page for further information.) My rheumatologist decided I needed to switch and, since I was due for my shot, switched me right then and there.

I’m glad you can already feel some relief. I’ve had three Enbrel injections with no relief yet. I sure hope it helps soon.
It may be that since I was already on a biologic (Simponi and before that, Humira), I got a quicker reaction than you did. My rheumy told me that it might take a full month to see results. Unfortunately, we’re all different and sometimes it takes a little longer for things to work or even a while to find the right combination. Hang in there and good luck.
