Sunday Break

Because there is no such thing as taking too many breaks!

Winter in the Andes mountains are somewhat different from typical winters. The air at 12,000+ feet above sea level is thin and dry. There is one major rainy season during the year, but it does not coincide with the cold weather. Every now and then a shower does pass through, which leaves a dusting of snow in the hills.

Andean Sunset

Sunset is especially poignant, if only because once the sun drops out of the sky the temperatures plunge and we are once again reminded that we are on top of the Andes mountains, two miles up in the sky.

I’m in a science fiction/fantasy kind of mood. Both A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge and American Gods by Neil Gaiman are on my nightstand. Which one to start first?

Music I plan on buying this week: English rock band Skunk Anansie and Somali-Canadian hip-hop artist K’Naan. The most frequently played playlist on my iPod this past week: Jazz. I’m just all over the place with my music right now.

Entering week 8 of my elimination diet. This past week I had a tomato (intentionally) and some milk (unintentionally) on the same evening. I flared the following day in record time. Might there be a connection?

Stay tuned…for the next adventure of Rheumatoid Arthritis Guy!

I hope your flare up has calmed down. The photo is gorgeous. Whichever book you decide on first, I hope you enjoy it. I have had good luck with books lately but am now without anything I want to read. I need to get to the library or bookstore! Have a great week RA Guy!
