I have had my illness the whole time I have had my stepdaughter. When her mother asked her what I was like, she once commented that I was “a sleepy lady” that almost broke my heart. As she’s grown up she has become more understanding, she still steps on my feet and climbs me like a tree but she does understand that Dad is better at running around and I’m better for cuddling up to for stories.
