I have RA but my rheumatologist has said we have to watch for Lupus because some of my blood test results point that direction, as do some of my currently labeled Sjogrens symptoms… and lupus is classified as an autoimmune arthritis, which often overlap. I think it’s great to post articles like this because it brings great awareness to the similarities between the two!

I have both lupus and RA. And it seems to me that a common concern amongst my doctors is that autoimmune diseases tend to breed others, so it is likely that there are more to come.

I have Lupus, RA, Crohn’s disease, and autoimmune thyroid disease…apparently some of us will tend to develope many AI diseases. The theory is that is one gets through it opens the gates for more.
