One of the projects that I have been wanting to complete for a while, which I finally got around to doing this past week, was the creation of a “Rheumatoid Arthritis Guy Store”.
This store, powered by Amazon.com, is a selection of books, cds, videos, and health and personal care items that I think are particularly useful for those of us living with rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune illnesses.
The categories and all of the products in the store have been hand picked by me. I probably own between 50-60% of these items…and the ones that I don’t have, I hope to purchase soon.
So when you get a chance, please take a look around the store. All of the browsing is embedded here on my blog. Once you are ready to check out, you will be taken to Amazon.com, where you can securely conduct the final step of your transaction.
Hope you like it! If there are any suggestions for items to add, please do let me know.

(There is also a tab at the upper-right corner of the page that will take you to the store.)

RA Guy: One of the few aids I use, I wouldn’t do without. It’s an undercounter jar opener. There are several types, but this one also lets you tighten jars. Also available from Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G3DXDM/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00061UVJI&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1K43A0G60D4WDS32S883
Such a great idea. Thanks, RA Guy!
May I suggest adding music CDs with classical music? I find Chopin and Beethoven incredibly soothing and rejuvenating when dealing with those periods of intense fatigue.
Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll work soon on adding these items.
My suggestion is Gripitz yoga blocks. They have helped me maintain my yoga practice even though my RA has caused real limitations in my wrists and hands (I can’t flatten my hands with my wrists bent or put weight on my wrists). I was so happy when my yoga teacher suggested these for me; they have made all of the difference!

The Gripitz yoga blocks looks great, and seem just the thing that can help me when I do yoga. Thanks for sharing – I’m adding it to the store right now!
Oooh, those black thermogloves look very sexy…
I like the can opener too. Luckily most things in tins I buy have the little pull lever on top, but there is still *some* stuff I get where I need a tin opener. This one sounds great for achey, weak hands (I have fibro too).
