Rheum For God

I ended up in a rheumatologist’s office in 2009.  He told me I had rheumatoid arthritis at my first visit.  To this day, my blood work is fabulous.  But I don’t need blood work and x-rays and MRIs to tell me I have something attacking my body with the vengeance of a fire.  I am here because I have always loved to write and God has my attention with this disease.  He has put it on my heart to put down in writing what He is doing in my life.  I have been so touched by what other bloggers have shared.  Thank you for putting words to so many emotions and hidden thoughts.  Talk about therapy.  At this point in my life, I feel as if my life has changed from that of a physical battle to a spiritual walk.  And I am a better person for it. I’m trusting Him one day at a time until He returns.

Amen to that RA guy! I’m 42 years old and have had RA for several years. Focusing on the things that truly matter… and what matters more than a relationship with God?… is the key to feeling better. When we are strong in spirit, pain is decreased. I love reading your blogs, RA Guy… putting that humorous touch something that is not so humorous… your blog makes me smile… even when my fingers won’t cooperate to write back.

when i was diagnosed with ra 13 yrs. ago, as with everyone, i was devastated (and pissed). after the intial shock, a lot of grief and much INTROSPECTION, in the “SILENCE” i heard these words:”resist” ra or “accept” ra….get it RA (resist or accept) i believe “what we resist, will persist!) so…..i have and still am learning to accept ra..i was on a spiritual path before “i was laid flat” but, since the onset, i have gone much deeper “inside myself” thru the darkness and pain to find the Divine Mother (the Light) that does exist beyond “ALL!” i’ve said and i still say, everything in life is a “paradox”…RA is probably one of my greatest trials in life..however, on the flip side of that, it’s been a “great gift” in uncoverig “who” i truly am…….I AM more than my body and to all of you reading this, SO ARE YOU!!!!!!!!
thank-you RA guy for the blog…….AWESOME!
