Information, questions and answers related to: Diclofenac (Voltaren, Voltaren XL, Cataflam).
So i just started using the voltaren gel the other day......its definately different. I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it was like a ben gay or icy hot, but it wasnt. It took about 15 minutes after applying it to work but it definately relieved the pain. You can only use it 4 times a day on different joints. I would definately recommend trying it to anyone with pain and wants quick relief.
One of the most helpful treatments that I get at my regular physical therapy session is ultrasound. They always place a big glob of voltaren gel in a joint and then rub it with the ultrasound equipment for 5-7 minutes which is supposed to help the gel penetrate even deeper than usual. I would also recommend it for some temporary relief!
